If you would like more information on this service then you can ask any member of the practice, pick up a leaflet at the surgery or contact P2U by clicking on the link above.
If you want to try this service then you will need to register by filling in a form.  This can be collected from the surgery.
Text Box: Home delivery
P2U will dispense and dispatch the medication to the patient within 24 hours of receiving the electronic prescription request.  The medication is sent by first class registered post and therefore has to be signed for.  The delivery can be to the patient's home or work address and if you are visiting family or friends elsewhere in the UK it can even be delivered to that address as long as you give P2U enough notice.

                                                                                             (electronic Prescription Management Service)
The practice, has a new scheme for those patient on repeat prescriptions.  The service is called ePMS.  ePMS enables patients to order their repeat prescription on-line or by telephone.

Text Box: How does it work?
Don't let the term electronic put you off, it simply refers to the sending of the prescription electronically  from the practice to the pharmacy.
All you need to do is to phone the pharmacy or if you prefer e-mail them requesting any or all the items on your repeat prescription slip.
The pharmacy will, on your behalf, request the prescription from us.  Once received by the practice it will be processed and if there are no queries then a prescription will be dispatched to the pharmacy for them to dispense the drugs .

Text Box: Who does it involve?
The scheme involves the patient, us (The Chislehurst Medical Practice) and a pharmacy that is currently involved in the pilot.  The pharmacy involved in our pilot scheme is a company called Pharmacy 2 U.
