Pregnancy & Maternity

Content Supplied by NHS Choices

If you think you are pregnant please make an appointment to see your GP in the usual way.
Please be aware that although you can self-refer to the maternity department the doctors at Chislehurst Medical Practice feel that it is a good idea for you to see them prior to that referral.

After your appointment they are likely to refer you to the link below to self refer to the local hospital Maternity Department.
Click on or copy and paste the link below into your browser, scroll down the page to 'Referral' and complete the online form which can be emailed to the dept.

The more you know about your pregnancy and your options, the more you are likely to feel in control. The information given here is based on The Pregnancy Book, which your midwife should give you at your first appointment.
