NHS Website Advice on Contacting Your GP Remotely
There's something quite simple that most people can do that would really help us through this crisis. Please sign up to the NHS app at https://www.nhs.uk/using-the-nhs/nhs-services/the-nhs-app/ This will help you manage your medication online reducing risk to staff by handling paper
For patient safety due to the ongoing spread of covid-19 (Coronavirus) how you contact us will be different at the moment. Please avoid coming to the surgery if at all possible to reduce risk to staff and patients and to manage social distancing within the waiting area.
We will be offering telephone and video consultations You can also use the e consult facility on this page.
If a clinician wants to see you following an e consult or phone call you will be invited to attend the surgery for a face to face consultation.
All patients and visitors to NHS services MUST wear a face covering at all times
This includes hospitals, community clinics and GP services. Evidence has confirmed that face coverings can help reduce the risk of transmission if you are suffering from coronavirus, but not showing symptoms. The government has set out advice for people on how to make their own face coverings easily at home, using scarves or other textile items. These face coverings should cover the mouth and nose, whilst allowing the wearer to breathe comfortably and can be as simple as a scarf or bandanna that ties behind the head to give a snug fit. Please wash your hands or use hand sanitiser before putting on a face covering and after taking it off. Please avoid touching your face covering whilst wearing it to avoid transmission of the virus. If you attend an appointment without a face covering, you will be provided with a face mask in an emergency.
